Diamond Mesh Incorporated Announces the “Manifestival:” A Bold New Summer Theatre Experience in NYC

This summer, the NYC theater circuit gains a provocative new heartbeat. Diamond Mesh Incorporated — Theatrical Productions is proud to announce the inaugural Diamond Mesh Manifestival, running from July 16th to August 9th at the Paradise Factory Theatre.

The Manifestival asks the questions we often fear to voice: Why do we feel alone? Did we lose something along the way? Was it inevitable? Or was it our fault from the beginning? The answer lies within a curated slate of three explosive mainstage productions that challenge the boundaries of legacy, addiction, and the “Next Great American Drama.”

THE MAINSTAGE LINEUP

Club 27 Written by Maeve Z. O’Connor | Starring Faith Pasch Performance Times: Thu–Sat at 9:45 PM, Sun at 3:00 PM: Step into a liminal rock & roll nightmare. Based on interviews with nightlife personality Faith Pasch, this one-woman confessional cabaret grapples with the ghosts of Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, and the iconic “27 Club.” It is a high-octane exploration of fame, death, and the desperate fight to make it out of the spotlight alive.

Piss.JPG (Working Title) Written by and starring Michael Gardiner and Justin Jager | Directed by Daniel Yaiullo Performance Times: Thu–Sat at 8:00 PM, Sun at 7:30 PM: Dubbed the “Gen Z Waiting for Godot,” this absurd, two-handed romp is set in a kitchen featuring a sink that would make Arthur Miller weep. It is an impossible-to-explain exploration of the American stage that promises happiness, sadness, life-affirmation, and “The Clap.” (Seriously).

The Silly William Gambit Written by and starring Matt Bader | Directed by Justin Jager Performance Times: Thu–Sat at 6:15 PM, Sun at 5:45 PM: Eccentric chess prodigy Silly William is on a train bound for Hell (or Philadelphia). Seated across from a mysterious entity known as Bum Fiddler, William must play seven real-time chess matches for his very soul. As the game unfolds, the lines between player and opponent blur, forcing a confrontation with the nature of addiction itself.

The Manifestival is a living, breathing celebration of new work. While the mainstage productions anchor the festival, a full list of additional short plays and special events is coming shortly. Diamond Mesh Inc. accepts new work for the festival circuit.
