Doug DeVita’s “MeToo” play Hey, Tits! accomplishes a tremendous amount in about 5 minutes of stage time. Tits explores the sexual assault of 17-year-old girl by a 12-year-old boy and the societal norms that allow it to occur. The girl reaching out for help, the rejection of offering that help and justification of the boy’s behavior by her mother, and the boy’s sense of privilege are all brilliantly dealt with. Finally, the girl asserting herself to assure her safety and destruction of the boy.

The play has excellent direction by Eric C. Webb and acting by Danielle Johnson and Benjamin Cardosa. The difficulty for DeVita will be expanding the show without becoming Tommy or Candlelight.
The only problem with the current production is the casting. Although the acting by Johnson and Cardosa is excellent, they are not the actors that can raise the show to the next level with an audience. Brave casting using a 10–12-year-old to play “Robert” and a 15–17-year-old to play “Celia” instead of adults would quickly bring home the horror at the center of DeVita’s excellent play.
